The Great British History Map

AD Earlier this year the lovely people at Marvellous Maps reached out to me and asked if I would like to help them with their new GREAT BRITISH HISTORY MAP. I of course said yes! Wales is a GREAT country to visit if you love historical adventures, and I was more than happy to do my bit and share my knowledge.

Just over a week ago a copy of the map landed on my doorstep! The new Great British History Map is now out there in the wild! I think you guys will love it!

Multi-storied Britain is a historical hotbed, heaving with clues from the past to inspire your future adventures. From the Jurassic south coast to the Viking-plundered north, Britain’s history of invasions, battles, weddings, beheadings, thuggery, skullduggery (and not a little peacockery) make for a colourful tapestry, stitched together from many a well-spun yarn. The same could be said for this map.

Featuring over 1,500 royally visitable historical locations, journeys and stories, this cartographical blast from the past will inspire some intrepid time travel through bygone Britain, a seemingly foreign country where they did things very differently.

Great British Map Detail

I only worked on the Welsh History content, so I was blown away to see the final product. A LOT of work has gone into this and the detail is mind-blowing – down to the historical quotes that make up the border. This map is SO well-researched and I have learnt a lot from it already.

So what are you waiting for? Pick up your copy of the Great British History Map today and start planning your adventures now!

Please note this post contains affiliate links but all love of the map is my own – I wouldn’t have worked on it if I didn’t believe in it!

I am From the Rhondda originally but now live in Belgium. I Love the History of Wales , naturally and the Castles of Wales. Caerphilly, Castell Coch and Cardiff Castle were near to where I lived and other Welsh Castles were not to far away too. IN the county of Glamorgan one of the Marcher counties, near to the border with England. our arch enemy particularly when playing International Rugby against them. HOME or away.
